The school bell echoed in the halls. It was Friday, known as the day of freedom to some people. Everyone rushed out of the school gates. Kairi trudged down the hallway because of the large amount of weight on her back. She stared at the ground as she walked, thinking about what Sora and her were going to do after school. She looked up and saw the familiar spiky brown haired boy. She smiled. Just then someone ran past and knocked Kairi over, causing her to hit her head against a locker. She let out a small scream because it took her by surprise.

“Kairi!” Sora ran up to her

“Ouch...” said Kairi faintly.

Sora crouched on the ground, “Are you okay?”

“Hm? Oh, yea Sora, I’m fine.” she said, still a bit shocked.

Sora rubbed the back of her head gently, and then picked her up.

“Sora what are you doing?!  Sora!” she said laughing.

Sora looked down at her and smiled. She couldn’t help but smile back. She laid her head against his chest and closed her eyes.

They both forgot that they were still at school, but then Sora saw a writing assignment that must have fell out of someone’s backpack. He looked left and right, but saw no one.

“Wow, this place clears quick.” said Sora laughing.

“Yea, probably because it’s a Friday.” answered Kairi giggling.

“Then what are we doing here?!” asked Sora, as he began to run out the school gates.

Sora walked, still holding Kairi. She was amazed how strong he could be. He was carrying her, plus two other full backpacks.

“Sora you must be be tired, come on I see a big shady tree over there.”

“Aw Kairi I’m fine.”

“Sora.” she said laughing. “Ok, well at least put me down.”Sora gave her a smile and gently set her down on the grass. She grabbed her backpack and rummaged through it.

“Found it.” she said

“Found what?” Sora asked curiously.

“Here.” she handed Sora a water bottle

He smiled, and thanked her. He took a gulp of the cold water, and twisted the lid back onto the bottle. Kairi grabbed his hand.

“Come on. We don’t even know where we’re going, so lets at least sit for a while and think.” said Kairi laughing.

“That seems to make more sense.” he said, thinking outloud.

Kairi grabbed one of the backpacks and pulled it onto her back. Then she took Sora’s hand and started towards the big oak tree.

For a long while, the two just sat under the tree and talked and laughed. Sora even tried to climb the tree, which didn’t really work out so well.

Just then Roxas came walking up towards the tree.

“Hey Roxas!” shouted Kairi.

“Hey! I’ve been looking for you guys everywhere!” shouted Roxas as he grew closer to the tree. “Namine, Riku, and I are going to the movies! You guy want to come?!”

“Sure.” answered Sora.

“Okay, meet you guys there in like 20 minuets.” answered Roxas as he waved goodbye, and started down the hill.

“See, I told you I would find something for us to do.” said Sora as he gave a little smirk.

Kairi just rolled her eyes and laughed. “Come on, lets go.”

They both grabbed their backpacks and started walking to the movie theater.
